June 18th, 2015 — I pass this stack of red bricks often on my walk to the corner store and knew that one day it would be worth pausing and taking a picture. A few days ago it was. Interestingly there was another picture taken 6 years ago, below, directly across the lane from the bricks. Both have the same feel about them, unimportant but pleasant to the eye.
August 11th, 2014 — I normally don’t photograph sunsets but the swimming at Spanish Banks has been very good this past week, cooling us off at the end of some very hot days and let’s face it this life guard in the setting sun was hard to pass by as were the beach volleyball players below.
December 30th, 2012 — A moss covered garage roof in the west side of Vancouver.
1970’s — During a vacation to Nova Scotia we drove past this house which had a sign out front that said, “do not take pictures of this house” so of course I stopped and took a picture. As I was walking back to my car a person came running from the house and asked me to send her a print. I did.
1970’s — This was East Road from Port Moody to Anmore in the 1970’s. It’s now straight and lined with homes.
In the 1960’s and 1970’s popcorn vendors with their quaint wagons lined the street next to English Bay in Vancouver. All of a sudden they disappeared, replaced by hot dog stands and espresso wagons.
