Eviction 1974

eviction-2 January 14th, 1974 — Homeless in Vancouver has been going on a long time. The Cardinals couldn’t find a new home despite months of searching so their belongings were loaded into a truck and taken into storage. All the while the family was hoping that alderman Harry Rankin, who had become involved, could use his influence to find them a house, which he did, nearby, and by the following day.
