April 27th, 2014 — It’s difficult to know what’s worse, dropping the bike while leading, or turning around while lying on the pavement and realizing there is a good chance half the peloton (below) is about to ride right over you. They didn’t and Brendan Armstrong of TAG Cycling was soon back on his bike and finished the race.

Shoshauna Routley (above) riding for Trek Red Truck Racing won the Cat 1/2 women’s criterium and was third overall.

July 30th, 2013 — The Escape Vecocity Tuesday night crits have moved from UBC to Glenlyon Business Park in Burnaby.

July 10th, 2013 — Ken Hansen and Leah Kirchmann were the winners of the 2013 Global Relay Gastown Grand Prix criterium. In the above picture Hanson lines up behind a Optum Kelly Benefit Strategies teammate for his final sprint up Water Street for the win. Below, Leah Kirchmann, also riding for Optum Kelly Benefit Strategies (in red) lines up behind Sophie Williamson and Elle Anderson riding for Vanderkitten for her final sprint to the finish line.

May 14th, 2013 — Cat 4 riders gliding down 16th Avenue towards South West Marine Drive during another Escape Velocity Tuesday night criterium at UBC.
