Fire
August 7th, 2024 — Fire demolished a six story wood frame apartment building under construction at 41st and Collingwood Street. The construction crane at the site collapsed over 41st Avenue and crushed a house on the south side of the street.

July 10th, 2024 — You’re walking your dogs along Water Street just before the start of the Gastown Grand Prix bicycle race. There’s just time to cross over to the other side but then one of your dogs pauses and leaves a marker right on the racing line. Hundreds of people are watching, the pressure is intense, will she clean the mess before the first riders arrive? She did.
