2025 Vancouver marathon
May 4th, 2025 — Sergio Raez Villanueva (4th place) from Missassauga, Ontario and Yuki Kawauchi (3rd place) from Japan were the first runners up Camosun Street hill and received lots of vocal encouragement from spectators during this year’s Vancouver marathon. The Gunner
December 7th, 2024 — Kouken Narbett, #553, was first through water at this years Gunner Shaw Memorial XC Race at Jericho Beach Park. He went on to win the 5km race in 17:08. Alex Broekhuyse, #260 was close behind and went on to win the 10km race in 35:03. And below is Arthur Gee who won the plus 80 class in 1:39:02. December 5th, 2024 — Pickleball at Jericho Beach.

November 7th, 2024 — Students line up to snowboard and ski on snow trucked in and put down on UBC’s University Blvd.
Truck’s clean
April 13, 2003 — The truck is clean, for now. After a muddy motocross race at Agassiz.
Marathon
May 5th, 2024 — First up the Camosun Street hill at this year’s BMO Vancouver Marathon was Leo Sammarell from Vancouver in his wheelchair. Next was the eventual winner, Sergio Raez Villanueva from Mississauga, Ontario. Then came the masses, followed by 75 year old John Karow from Scottsdale, Arizona, in last place and by this time already 2 hours behind the leader. I was hoping that John would make it to the end but a few blocks after I took this picture he retired from the race. More pictures from the race can be found HERE or by clicking on the above picture.
Runner
December 2nd, 2023 — Yemane Mulugeta on his way to winning the Gunner Shaw Memorial cross country race at Jericho Beach Park. Mulugeta finished over a minute ahead of the second place runner in 00:32:53.
