May 16th, 2026 — Salt Spring’s PK Blinders in blue playing Billy’s Ballers in black in the annual May long weekend soccer tournament on Salt Spring Island. Bramble ball
October 11th, 2025 — During the last 10 minutes of a soccer game between Salt Spring Island and Victoria all four game balls were knocked into the brambles surrounding the pitch at Portlock Park. Was this an attempt by Victoria to waste time as they were leading by just one goal; it’s possible. After the game players searched the brambles for the balls. I think only one was recovered.
